Do you ever questioned the thoughts that run in your head all day? Where did that sequence of thoughts of yours actually inspire from? Is it purely a natural thinking process or is it a bias from every information that you consume unconsciously throughout your life?

Well, The Art of Thinking Clearly by Rolf Dobelli helped me understand all of our thinking output and determination of what’s right and wrong are not far from biases that are formed years of our life.

The Art of Thinking Clearly is a heuristics-based read, that contains a lot of researches behind our decision-making pattern that is intended for us to understand and be able to improve our decision-making outcome.

Little did we know, choices we make on daily basis are full of cognitive biases and this book makes us more conscious about it, we didn’t realize any of those biases until Rolf Dobelli points out every single of them (he explains 99 cognitive biases in this book). You’ll find this book a bit hilarious and mind-blowing at the same time because of the amount of truth we didn’t even know exist in our day-to-day thinking.

He also stated that in order to lead happier and more prosperous lives, all we need is to think less irrational. Best heuristics and psychology book I’ve read so far and this literally became my jam.

P.S: Not all of the 99 cognitive biases can be applicable to your life, they weren’t to mine either. They were all nice to know just in case we need it, but I’m sure this book is an eye-opening read for most of you!
